About Me

My connection to the North Shore started long before I ever became a host. From 2003 to 2008, I attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, and during those years I completely fell in love with the North Shore. The scenery, the lake, the trails, the small towns, and the peaceful feeling of being up there all left a lasting impression on me. It became one of those places that always felt special, the kind of place you keep wanting to come back to.

After college, I moved back to Mankato and became involved in my family’s business, Jake’s Stadium Pizza, a third-generation family restaurant. Working in the restaurant business taught me what hospitality really means. It is not just about providing a service — it is about making people feel welcomed, cared for, and comfortable. Over the years, I learned how much the little details matter, whether that is great communication, a clean and inviting space, or simply making sure people feel like they are in good hands.

In 2022, my family had the opportunity to purchase a cabin on the North Shore, and it quickly became more than just a place to stay. It became a way for us to share a place we love with others. I found a real passion for hosting guests and creating an experience that helps families and friends relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything the North Shore has to offer.

As a host, I take a lot of pride in doing everything I can to make each stay the best it can be. I want guests to feel comfortable from the moment they book, confident before they arrive, and completely at home once they walk through the door. Whether it is preparing the property, answering questions, offering local recommendations, or making sure the details are taken care of, my goal is always the same: to help guests have a memorable, stress-free, and truly special stay.

The North Shore has meant a lot to me for many years, and it is a privilege to help others experience it in their own way. Hosting gives me the opportunity to combine my love for this area with my background in hospitality, and I am grateful for every guest who chooses to stay with us.
